Narrated by Simon Williams (Upstairs Downstairs), Concorde, the world’s first supersonic airliner, triumphed over politics and technology to take air transport into a totally new dimension. With millions spent on its development, Concorde is unlikely ever to be replaced, and this visual history pays timely tribute to an aircraft that pushed the frontiers of passenger flight to their limits.  This unique film charts the progress of this historic Anglo-French project.  From drawing board through test pilots Trubshaw and Turcat’s first flights in 1969 and into the next century at twice the speed of sound.
